We don't have anything that's
very confidential, why would we need a shredding service?
All businesses have occasion to discard data. Customer lists, price
lists, sales statistics, drafts of bids and correspondence, and
even memos contain information about business activity, which would
interest any competitor. Every business is also entrusted with information
that must be kept private. Employees and customers have the legal
right to have this data protected.

What materials should be shredded?
Determine what documents have sensitive information on them and
if they need to be destroyed. Don't forget the daily trash of every
business contains information that could be harmful. This information
is especially useful to competitors because it contains the details
of current activities. Discarded daily records include phone messages,
memos, misprinted forms, drafts of bids, and drafts of correspondence.

When should material be shredded?
The period of time that business records are stored should be determined
by a retention schedule that takes into consideration their useful
value to the business and the governing legal requirements. No record
should be kept longer that this retention period. Storage space
is valuable space.

Do you provide a certificate of
destruction?
Yes, it is included with your invoice at the time of shredding.

Why would I use a shredding service
instead of just recycling?
For security. Recycling services are not designed to provide security.
Generally, recycling services use open collection containers, which
are accessible to anyone. Generally, the employees of recycling
service companies are not security-screened personnel. Your paper
is transported in the trucks in whole form, so that if an accident
should occur, your secrets are everyone's. Paper is taken to the
warehouses, which are accessible to the public. The paper is sorted
for grade, and there is the potential of it being stockpiled for
months.

Why should I have a shredding
service instead of buying my own shredder?
Cost. Many companies have discovered that owning a shredder is not
cost-effective. Amortization of a shredder, labor, maintenance,
and disposal costs are usually much higher than expected. Not to
mention the noise, mess, and dust.
